Is there a government program for low income persons to pay for auto repair?

Someone told me that there is a government program that will pay for auto repair for low income persons in California. Is this true? What are the requirements?

1. Just a rumor. There is no such program. We can't have the government paying for everything.

3. Yes but its only for vehicle that failed the smog check program its called CAP also it only work if you have owned the car for at least two years and it failed due to the car just breaking down oh and you have to spend at least 450 and the car is still not fixed see link
